Speaker-labeled transcripts. Entirely on your iPhone.
Record a conversation or import audio you already have. Scribe-ly transcribes it, works out who said what, and gives you a searchable transcript you can edit, summarize, and export. Recording, transcription, speaker separation, and voice matching all run on the device. There are no accounts, no servers, and nothing you record is uploaded.
What it does
Record or import
Capture directly in the app, or bring in audio from Files. Recording keeps running in the background, with a Live Activity showing progress.
Knows who spoke
Speaker diarization separates voices and labels each turn, then automatic cleanup repairs sentences split across the wrong speaker.
Voice ID
Enroll a voice once and Scribe-ly labels that person by name in future transcripts. Voiceprints are computed and stored on your device.
On-device AI
Apple Intelligence summarizes transcripts and proofreads wording, without the text leaving the phone.
Organize and find
Projects, tags, saved filters, and full-text search. Private projects are locked behind Face ID.
Export
Plain text and Markdown, plus JSON, SRT, and WebVTT for downstream tools. Full backups export as a single archive.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of that point. A free trial that you do not cancel at least 24 hours before it ends converts to a paid subscription. Manage or cancel any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple. Use of Scribe-ly is covered by our Terms of Use and the Apple standard EULA.
Cancelling deletes nothing: your recordings and transcripts stay on the device and stay readable and exportable as text or Markdown. Pro-only actions stop working.
Requirements
- iPhone running iOS 26 or later.
- Apple Intelligence, for summaries and AI language fixes. Everything else works without it.
- Storage for audio. Transcription is compute-heavy — expect the device to warm up on long recordings.
Before you record
Laws about recording conversations vary, and in some places everyone being recorded has to agree first. Voiceprints are personal data and in some places specifically protected. Scribe-ly shows these notices in the app; they are worth taking seriously.
